| The coalition work is made possible by the contributions of its members and donors. NBGMAC’s founding was made possible through the generosity of the New York Community Trust support of the former People of Color in Crisis. Since our incorporation, contributions from Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, the Evelyn and Walter Haas Jr. Fund, Levi Strauss Foundation and the San Francisco AIDS Foundation have provided early and essential support. NBGMAC has established a sliding scale for memberships from individuals, community based organizations and state and local health departments. Membership is open to organizations and individuals who share NBGMAC’s mission to advocate on behalf of Black Gay Men. NBGMAC’s leadership has sought to reduce expenses and organizational redundancy through a model of shared resources. In-kind support for housing has been provided by Us Helping Us, an organization dedicated to addressing HIV among black, gay men headquartered in Washington, DC. Fiscal sponsorship has been provided through Us Helping Us and NAESM, a national HIV education organization. Donations to support NBGMAC are welcome.
